Of note in these images is how the color of the model, with the exception of the dark gray details, is a uniform shade of gray without any variation or weathering. This duplicates the look of the studio model before the 1992 restoration, when it was re-painted with various shades of gray, was weathered considerably and was covered with a controversial series of grid lines over most of the model.
